A youth from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh has achieved a big position in the body building competition. Somesh has won two gold medals and now he has got the ticket for the International Championship. Somesh’s father sells vegetables in the market and he has been building his body naturally for eight years.
Market. 23-year-old Somesh Rana from Mandi city of Himachal Pradesh has set a new record by winning three gold medals and two pro cards in the I Compete Natural Championship (ICN). Somesh Rana’s father Bhup Singh works as a vegetable seller in Mandi city.
This championship was held in Goa from 27 to 29 November in which 1200 body builders from all over the world participated. Somesh won three gold medals in Man Physique and Man Classic Physique in Amateur, while making his professional debut here, he also won two Pro Cards by securing third and second place in overall. On the basis of these pro cards, Somesh can now participate in any world championship till 2026. Somesh has been practicing as a bodybuilder for the last 8 years. At present he is practicing in Club 55 gym. When Somesh returned to Mandi after winning the medal, he was given a warm welcome in the gym. Somesh told that his next target is to participate in any world championship and win a medal, so that he can bring fame to his city, state and country across the world.
Somesh needs government support
The people of the city including Amit Sharma, founder of Club 55 Gym and Raja Singh Malhotra, founder of Soch Foundation, have congratulated Somesh for this success and wished them good luck for the future. Raja Singh Malhotra, founder of Soch Foundation, said that the success achieved by Somesh is inspiring for other youth. While assuring Somesh of all possible support in future, he also appealed to the state government to support such talented youth.

What is I Compete Natural Championship?
ICN i.e. I Compete Natural is a worldwide federation which organizes competitions related to bodybuilding and fitness. Only those participants can participate in it who have built their body naturally. In this, tests are conducted for all the participants. If someone has built his body with the help of steroids etc. then he is not included in it. Mandi resident Somesh Rana has not only been building a natural body for the last 8 years but is also giving the message to others to stay away from steroids etc. Along with this, Somesh also keeps calling upon the youth to stay away from evil like drugs and pay attention to their fitness.
