Varanasi Indigo Crisis: Many Indigo flights taking off from Varanasi airport were cancelled, but passengers were not informed about it in advance. Due to this, a crowd gathered at the airport and passengers are now protesting against this. Many passengers expressed their situation.
Varanasi: Indigo flights were also affected on Friday (December 05, 2025) due to technical glitch. Even today, videos of crowd of passengers and commotion were seen at different airports of the country. There was an atmosphere of chaos at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport also. There was a crowd of passengers at Indigo’s inquiry counter and people looked helpless, worried and helpless. Meanwhile, people got only one reply from Indigo’s inquiry counter, ‘Sorry sir, please take the money back’.
Passenger Niranjan Jyoti, who booked a ticket from Varanasi Airport to Bangalore, told that today his flight was at 3.30, but neither did he receive any message from the company regarding the cancellation of his flight nor did he get any other information related to his flights. When we reached Varanasi airport, we did not get any satisfactory answer even from the inquiry counter. It was just said that sir, if you wish, your money will be returned.
Where to take a heart patient
Another passenger Anil Kumar told that he too had to go to Bengaluru on the same flight. After checking out the hotel in Varanasi where he was staying, when he reached the airport, he came to know that even today all Indigo flights are cancelled. He told that there is a heart patient and four senior citizens with him. In such a situation, they are also worried as to what to do if they do now and how to go if they go to Bengaluru. Thousands of people are facing many such problems. Someone’s wedding got canceled and someone missed an important meeting. Meanwhile, the displeasure of passengers was visible at different airports.

According to the information, 22 arrival and 22 departure flights of Indigo from Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport have been canceled on Friday, due to which thousands of passengers have been directly affected. These include Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and other flights.
