More than 71 tigers, forest spread over 73 thousand hectares
According to statistics, currently more than 71 tigers are present in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. Apart from this, approximately the same number of leopards and bears are also found here. Not only this, more than 350 species of birds have also been recorded in this area. This huge forest spread over about 73 thousand hectares presents a unique example of biodiversity.
Many major roads pass through the forest
Many major roads pass through Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. Among these, Pilibhit-Puranpur, Pilibhit-Madhotanda and Madhotanda-Khatima routes are the most important. There is a considerable presence of tigers around these roads. This is the reason why tigers are often seen roaming on these routes. When passersby see such scenes, they often make videos and share them on social media.

In this matter, Deputy Director of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, Manish Singh said that it is natural for wildlife to come on the road on the routes passing through the forest. He appealed to the people to drive vehicles within the prescribed speed limit while passing through forest areas and not stop unnecessarily and make noise. This will not only maintain the safety of the people, but will also not cause any harm to the wildlife.

The specialty of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve is that tigers can be seen here even while walking on the road. As exciting as this scene is, it also demands caution. There have been continuous warnings from the forest department and administration to follow the rules on the forest paths.
