Rampur: In Uttar Pradesh, the process of SIR is progressing at its own pace and BLOs are reaching door to door with target and including people in the list. While in many districts, FIRs have been registered against BLOs for not doing their job properly, on the other hand, the district administration has honored 10 BLOs who have done better work under the ongoing SIR (Special Summary Revision/Voter List Revision Campaign) in Rampur.
DM Ajay Kumar Dwivedi not only honored these BLOs who completed the work at their respective booths before the stipulated time by inviting them to his residence but also provided them food. The BLO looked very excited after receiving the honor and said that this honor further increases his energy and confidence towards his work.
85% SIR work completed in the district
DM Ajay Kumar Dwivedi told News 18 that SIR work is going on in the district including the entire state. A total of 1826 BLOs are working in the district and all are dedicated and fulfilling their responsibilities. He said that 85% work has been completed in the district so far and he is confident that 100% work will be completed within the stipulated time.
He said that the administration had already decided that those BLOs who complete their work before time will be honoured. Under this, these 10 BLOs have been honored today. DM said that the objective of this initiative is to motivate those who work hard and on time, so that their morale increases and other BLOs are also inspired.
Positive atmosphere between DM and BLO
The DM also informed that during the SIR campaign, the officers interacted with the BLOs in two sessions, trained them and ensured immediate resolution of their problems. The administration’s effort was to create a positive environment so that BLOs could work smoothly and better without any pressure.
He said that all the BLOs of the district are working hard and those who have been honored will become a source of inspiration for others. This initiative of the administration not only increases the quality of work but also creates enthusiasm among the employees working at the ground level. The DM expressed hope that just as these BLOs have shown good work, other BLOs will also do better work.
