UP Police Recruitment: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow has announced the recruitment of new police constable and jail warder. Advertisement for recruitment to the posts of Civil Police Constable, PSC, Special Constable Security Force, PAC Women, Constable PAC Armed Police, Jail Warder, Mounted Police will be released in this month.
According to the information, there will be recruitment on about 25000 vacant posts of constable and jail warder in UP Police. In which about 19000 vacancies will be for Police Constable and 2800 vacancies will be for Jail Warder. The board has said that for more information keep visiting the official website uppbpb.gov.in.
Earlier in April, UP Police Recruitment Board had given information about applications for the recruitment of 19220 constables. But its process could not start. According to the report, about 2800 posts of jail warders are vacant. Which have been given permission to fill. Whereas recruitment has been done for 4543 posts of Sub Inspector and applications have also been taken.

Qualification for UP Police Constable Recruitment
Educational Qualification- According to the previous recruitment, to become a UP Police Constable, one must have passed at least 12th. Candidates with NCC B certificate and two years of service in the Territorial Army will get preference.
Age Limit: The age limit for UP Police Constable Recruitment is 18 to 22 years. Relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per rules.

- The height of General, OBC, SC category candidates should be at least 168 cm. Chest should be 79 cm without expansion and 84 cm after expansion.
- The minimum height for ST category candidates is 160 cm. Chest should be 77 cm without expansion and 82 cm after expansion.
- The minimum height for women of general category, OBC, SC category is 152 cm. The height for ST category women is 147 cm.
- The weight of women should be at least 40 kg.
