Flight services are being affected due to dense fog at Lucknow Airport in UP. Dammam–Lucknow flight XY 896 was diverted due to fog. Air India’s Delhi-Lucknow AI 2499 and Lucknow-Delhi AI 2500 have been cancelled. Flights coming from Pune, Sharjah and Bengaluru are delayed by 45 minutes to 1.30 hours. Lucknow-Delhi flight IX 2173 will depart at 1:15 pm, four hours late. Railway traffic is also being affected due to fog. Gorakhdham and Kaifiyat Express is late by about 7 hours. Many trains including Shantabdi, Punjab Mail, Doon Express are running late by 1 to 3 hours. Passengers are facing a lot of trouble due to dense fog.
Ayodhya News: Dr. Ramvilas Das Vedanti will be given last farewell today
Former MP and senior saint Dr. Ramvilas Das Vedanti will be given a final farewell in Ayodhya today. His health suddenly deteriorated during Ramkatha in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, after which he was admitted to a private hospital, where he died yesterday during treatment. Late night, the mortal remains of Dr. Ramvilas Das Vedanti were brought to his residence Hindu Dham in Ayodhya, where the mortal remains were kept for darshan on Hindu religion. Today the mortal remains will be taken on a city tour, after which it will be given darshan at Hanumangarhi and Ram Janmabhoomi and the last rites will be performed on the banks of river Saryu. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also reach Ayodhya to attend the last darshan and last rites of Dr. Ram Vilas Das Vedanti. The Chief Minister is likely to reach Ayodhya around 11 o’clock, while the last rites will be performed on the banks of Saryu at around 12 o’clock. There is a wave of mourning in the entire saint community including Ayodhya due to the demise of Dr. Ramvilas Das Vedanti, which is being considered as an irreparable loss for the saint community.
There was a head-on collision between a truck and a bus in Basti, UP. Four died, a dozen were injured in a horrific road accident. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital. The accident took place at Hardiya intersection of Sadar Kotwali.
Bike thief has had an encounter with the police in Bahraich. Police arrested him after half encounter. The accused was injured by a bullet in his left leg.
