UP Board Exam 2026: Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council i.e. UP Board has almost prepared the list of examination centers for High School and Intermediate Examination 2026. According to sources of UP Board, 8000 examination centers will be created in the entire state for the board examination of 2026.
UP Board Exam 2026: Asia’s largest examination body, Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, i.e. UP Board, has completely prepared the preliminary list of examination centers in the entire state for the High School and Intermediate Examination 2026. This list has been uploaded on the board’s website today itself.
How many examination centers will be built?
According to the board sources, about 8000 examination centers will be made in the entire Uttar Pradesh for the board examination of 2026. Last year i.e. in 2025, a total of 8140 examination centers were made, i.e. this time 140 examination centers have been reduced. However, this time the figure of 8000 examination centers is not final yet. This number may increase or decrease after objections are received. The Board has given full opportunity to all parties to register objections.
Decrease in the number of candidates
This time, a total of 52 lakh 30 thousand 297 students have been registered in the UP Board examination, which includes 27 lakh 50 thousand 945 high school candidates and 24 lakh 79 thousand 352 intermediate candidates. Whereas in the year 2025, a total of 54 lakh 38 thousand 597 students were registered, which means this time the number of candidates has reduced by about 2 lakh. For this reason, it was already being estimated that the number of examination centers would also be less.
When will the final list of examination centers come?
UP Board will release the complete final list of examination centers on December 30, 2025. There will be no change after this. The selection of examination centers is being done completely online. This time UP Board has made the entire process of determining the examination centers completely online. This work will start from 10 November 2025 and will continue till 30 December 2025.
When will the final list be released?
The board has issued a clear calendar for center determination. The preliminary list has been released today i.e. on 27th November. The list of debarred and ineligible schools will be released tomorrow on 28th November. After this, any person or organization will be able to lodge objections at the examination centers till 4th December. All the objections will be resolved by the District School Inspector (DIOS) by 11th December. After that, on December 17, the list of approved examination centers will be uploaded on the website of the board. Still, if any objection remains then another chance will be given till 22nd December. Finally, after all the processes are completed, the final list of examination centers will be released on 30 December 2025.
When are the exams?
UP Board has already released the complete schedule of both high school and intermediate examinations. The examinations of both the classes will start from 18 February 2026 and will continue till 12 March 2026. Overall, now students and parents have to wait only till December 30 when it will become clear where their examination center has been made.
