Prayagraj News: The Council of Secondary Education has prepared the preliminary list of examination centers regarding the UP Board examination. According to sources of UP Board, 8000 examination centers will be built in the entire state for the board examination of 2026. Whereas a total of 8140 examination centers were created in 2025.
Prayagraj: Asia’s largest examination body, Council of Secondary Education i.e. UP Board has prepared the preliminary list of UP Board examination centers for the High School and Intermediate Examination 2026. According to sources of UP Board, 8000 examination centers will be built in the entire state for the board examination of 2026. Whereas a total of 8140 examination centers were created in 2025.
This time the number of candidates has decreased by about 2 lakh. Therefore, speculations were already being made that the number of examination centers would be reduced. However, the figure of 8000 is not final yet. After objections, the number of examination centers may increase or decrease. The final list of examination centers of UP Board will be released on December 30.
Final list will be released on this day
The examination centers are being decided online by the UP Board. The entire process of determining the examination centers is being done between November 10 and December 30. The preliminary list of selected centers has been released online today by the UP Board. After this, the list of debarred and ineligible schools will be released on Friday 28th November. Objections have been sought at the examination centers till December 4. The objections will be resolved by DIOS by December 11. The approved center list will be uploaded on the UP Board website by December 17. Whereas objection can be lodged again till 22 December. The list of final examination centers will be released by the UP Board on 30 December 2025.
Total number of students registered
However, the UP Board has already declared the schedule of High School and Intermediate 2026 examination. UP Board’s high school and intermediate examinations will be held between February 18 and March 12. 52 lakh 30 thousand 297 candidates are registered in the 2026 examination of UP Board. 27 lakh 50 thousand 945 candidates are registered in high school and 24 lakh 79 thousand 352 candidates are registered in intermediate.
Whereas 54 lakh 38 thousand 597 candidates were registered in the 2025 examination of UP Board. 27 lakh 40 thousand 151 candidates were registered in high school and 26 lakh 98 thousand 446 candidates were registered in intermediate. A total of 8140 examination centers were created in 2025. In this context, the number of candidates has decreased by approximately two lakhs, due to which the number of examination centers has also decreased by 140.
