Azamgarh: Preparations for UP Board High School and Intermediate examinations have started. The process of determining the examination centers is being completed. Let us tell you that the UP Board High School and Intermediate examinations are proposed to be held from 18 February 2026, for which preparations have been started by the department to complete the system of center determination in the district in a better way.
A new system is being implemented to completely stop cheating in the examination and to determine the centre. According to this, the examination centers are to be decided according to the marking system. Their marks will be determined according to the resources available in the school. The schools which have more marks will be given first priority for deciding the centre.
Examination centers will be decided according to marks
The process for determining the center is to be completed in a phase wise manner, after which the process of determining the center will be completed. The work of determining and verifying the marks of schools is to be done by a committee headed by the District Magistrate. Let us tell you that in Azamgarh district, the total number of candidates registered for the high school examination is 83768, while the number of candidates registered for the intermediate examination is 86271.
The process for determining the examination centers is being completed. For this, determination of centers has to be ensured according to the marking process. According to this process, schools scoring above 90 percent in the board exam results of 2025 will be assigned 10 marks. Apart from this, marks are to be determined on the basis of category of schools and the arrangements available there.
CCTV is mandatory
While talking to the team of Local 18 on this subject, Azamgarh DIOS Upendra Kumar said that under this process, marks have been determined differently for high school and intermediate schools. Marks are to be given according to the facilities available in the schools. For this, CCTV cameras are mandatory at all the centres, only then the centers can be determined. Apart from this, if schools have the facility of smart class then they will be given separate marks. In this way, a total of 10 criteria have been set, according to which schools are to be given marks. A tehsil level committee has been formed to determine the marks of schools, in which the District Magistrate of the concerned tehsil is the chairman of the committee. Tehsildar and other officials are also present in it.
