Due to the plate costing Rs 20 and its excellent taste, now around Rs 15 thousand are sold every day, due to which this cart has become a local identity.
Ganga Nasta Thela: Ganga breakfast stall located in the square of Bhanwarpur, a small town in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh, has become the main attraction of cold mornings these days. As the cold increases, hundreds of people reach this cart every day to eat hot vada and samosa. This small, simple breakfast stall has now become the first choice of the local people as well as those coming from nearby villages. Taste, affordable price and years of trust are giving this cart a special glow in winters.
Bhesh Lal, who works here, says that in view of the cold weather, Bada and Samosa are served fresh and hot. Breakfast plate is available for just Rs 20, in which 3 pieces of Vada or Samosa are given. Vegetables, sweet chutney and chilli chutney are also kept along with it, which further enhances the taste. Preparation of the cart starts from 5 am and breakfast starts being served to the customers from 7 am. The increasing demand can be gauged from the fact that sales of up to Rs 15,000 are made every day, which shows the growing popularity of the cart.

Ganga, the owner of the breakfast cart, says that this cart is about 20 years old. Initially he started selling chana chaat, but due to low demand he closed that business and started selling vada-samosas. Gradually the discussion about the taste increased and the number of customers also increased continuously. Ganga recalls that 20 years ago, a breakfast plate was available for only Rs 10, in which 4 pieces of Bada or Samosa were served. In the initial days, only Rs 4 to 5 thousand were sold daily, but with changing times this income has now tripled.
Ganga says that Friday of the week proves to be the most beneficial day for her, because on this day a local haat market is held nearby. Due to increase in crowd in the market, the number of customers doubles and the sales are also much higher than on normal days. The increase in demand for hot breakfast during winter in Bhanwarpur has also given financial strength to this cart, which has brought a positive change in the lives of Ganga and her colleagues.
