There is an allegation of making fake affidavits in the name of dead persons to grab land worth Rs 15 crore in Bhopa. The victims accused the police of negligence and demanded justice from the SSP.
Muzaffarnagar News: A surprising case has come to light in Muzaffarnagar district, in which three persons who had died many years ago were shown alive. The uncle of the family was the brain behind the conspiracy. His aim was to capture land worth crores of rupees by declaring it as populated. Actually, the allegation is that an uncle named Samarpal, resident of Bhopa police station area, submitted the affidavit of his cousin Martak Bhai Madanpal, Dharampal and another associate Vikram Singh in the tehsil, showing them alive. He did all this with the aim of capturing 15 bighas of farmland worth Rs 15 crore.
His plan was to first declare that land populated and then take possession of it. After getting wind of this conspiracy, the family members of the deceased had complained about this matter to the police. On which the police registered a prima facie case in this matter and started investigation. But, due to not being satisfied with the investigation, on Thursday the victim’s family reached the SSP office in Kachari, where they met SP Rural Aditya Bansal and demanded a fair investigation into the matter and punishment to the accused.
Victim’s family not satisfied with police investigation
Shravan Kumar, a relative of the victim, says that his brother-in-law has about 15 bighas of land in Bhopa. To grab this land, Samarpal, the uncle of the deceased, also filed affidavits in the name of the dead persons in a fake manner. Some people had died 4, 5 or 10 years ago, but documents were prepared in their name and an order was made under Section 80. Shravan alleges that he had demanded a case to be registered in this matter under serious sections like 420 and 420/471, but the case was registered only under light sections. The investigation continued for three months, but serious section like 338 has not been imposed yet.
He said that affidavits were filed in the tehsil in the names of people who died in February 2025, but they were not heard at the tehsildar level. We have been wandering for 8 months. The negligence of the police is clearly visible. Where to go if you don’t get justice? That’s why today he has come to meet the SSP. It is alleged that due to the value of the land being in crores, some people are trying to get plotting done on it, while even the division of accounts has not been completed.
SP Rural assured the victim’s family
In this regard, SP Rural Aditya Bansal says that an incident has come to his notice in which it is alleged that fake affidavits were filed by some people, which also include the names of dead persons. Its purpose seems to be to gain some profit. He said that on the basis of the investigation report of CO Bhopa, a case has been registered in Bhopa police station on the orders of SSP. A detailed investigation of the case is underway and after completion of the investigation, strict legal action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
