After normal weather throughout the day, suddenly a sharp drop in temperature was recorded in the evening. Dense fog covered the entire city from around 4 pm onwards, due to which visibility on the roads was significantly reduced. Within a short time, the entire Hazaribagh was seen wrapped in a thick blanket of fog and the view of the city started appearing like a hill tourist destination.

This sudden change in the weather surprised people. While light sunshine was felt till noon, by evening the cold winds increased the chill. Due to fog, drivers plying on the roads had to face a lot of trouble. In many areas the speed of vehicles slowed down and people were seen taking precautions.

Local resident Shashank Shekhar, who came for a walk near the lake, said that he has been living in Hazaribagh for the last 30 years but such fog is being seen for the first time. Anyway, the weather of Hazaribagh district remains favorable throughout the year. Cold wave was already anticipated and it was also anticipated that the weather of Hazaribagh would take a sudden turn and due to which it was dense all around since 4:00 in the evening.
Meteorological Department made this appeal
The Meteorological Department and the District Administration have appealed to the people to remain alert. Elderly people and children have been instructed to wear warm clothes while leaving the house to protect themselves from cold. Besides, it has also been advised to be cautious while driving. Dr. Abhishek Anand, meteorologist of the Meteorological Center, also said that the Meteorological Center had predicted that dense fog may be seen. A further drop in temperature may be seen in the coming days. The effect of fog and cold may increase further in the morning and late evening.
