TTE asked for a ticket from an elderly person. He tried to take something out of his pocket, the TTE thought that he might be taking out a ticket. He showed a paper in which he had written about the social service he was doing. TTE said that action will definitely be taken.
Jhansi. A continuous ticket checking campaign is being run for better and convenient travel for the passengers making Indian Railways reservations. Those traveling without tickets and unauthorized tickets are being caught and fined. Under this, a revenue of Rs 1,20,230 was collected in 257 cases in a special ticket checking campaign at Maharaja Chhatrasal Chhatarpur Railway Station. This type of action will continue in future also.
According to North Central Railway, a special ticket checking campaign was conducted at Chhatarpur railway station on 22 December. The objective of this campaign was to collect revenue by taking strict action against passengers traveling without tickets and irregularly. During the campaign, passengers were caught traveling without tickets and irregularly in 257 cases, from which a total revenue of Rs 1,20,230 was collected. During this, TTE asked for a ticket from an elderly person. He tried to take something out of his pocket, the TTE thought that he might be taking out a ticket. He showed a paper in which he had written about the social service he was doing. The TTE first greeted him and then asked for the ticket, but he did not respond. TTE said that social service is different, but action will be taken if there is no ticket.
Under this campaign, thorough inspection of trains, platforms, waiting rooms, food stalls and other passenger areas passing through the station was carried out. In this special campaign, Assistant Divisional Commercial Manager Anil Srivastava, Jhansi, Chief Ticket Inspector Headquarters M.L. Ticket checking and RPF staff including Meena, Chief Ticket Inspector Pradeep Shriwas, Khajuraho, Chief Ticket Inspector Sandeep Tiwari, Maharaja Chhatrasal Chhatarpur, Chief Ticket Inspector Ashok Tripathi, RPF Inspector Gyan Chand, Sub Inspector Vinod Kumar Rai, Chief Commercial Inspector participated.
Railway administration appeals to the passengers to ensure that they take valid tickets before travelling, and follow the rules of Indian Railways. Traveling without a ticket is a punishable offence, which causes financial loss to the Railways.
