Once again an attempt to create a big controversy regarding Lord Ram.

Professor KS Bhagwan has been the target of right-wing groups in the past because of his statements.
Mandya (Karnataka). Once again an attempt has been made to create a big controversy regarding Lord Rama. This time, KS Bhagawan, a retired professor and writer from Karnataka, gave a controversial statement saying that ‘there is talk of making Ram Rajya… Reading Uttar Kand of Valmiki Ramayana shows that Lord Ram were not ideal. He did not rule for 11,000 years, but only for 11 years. Such a claim by Professor KS Bhagwan may spark another controversy. Religious and literary experts have already been saying that Uttar Kand was not a part of the original Ramayana and Valmiki never wrote it. All this was later added to the Ramayana.
Professor KS Bhagwan did not stop at this only. He claimed that the Uttar Kand of Valmiki Ramayana states that ‘Lord Rama used to sit with Sita in the afternoon and drink for the rest of the day… He sent his wife Sita to the forest and did not care for her… He beheaded the Shudra Shambuka, who was doing penance under a tree. How can he be ideal? ‘ After this statement of Professor KS Bhagwan, people criticized him on social media and said that can he talk about such things in other religions as well? Everyone only talks wrong about Lord Ram.
War broke out over the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka made different claims
This is not the first time Professor KS Bhagwan has made controversial remarks on Lord Ram. In 2019 too, he had made a similar claim saying that Lord Ram used to consume ‘intoxicants’ and also used to make Sita drink. Due to his controversial statements, he has been a constant target of right-wing groups. Professor KS Bhagwan has also allegedly received death threats. However, Professor KS Bhagwan has already said clearly that even though I am getting death threats, it will not change my stand.
