India-America Job Data: America and India released their respective unemployment figures on December 16 and the difference between the two is clearly visible. While the unemployment rate in America has increased, India’s rate is going down.

Not only America but all the countries of the world are suffering the consequences of their strategies. He especially tried to harm India, but it did not happen and on the contrary, his own country is suffering the loss. Employment figures of India and America were also released today i.e. on Tuesday and you can see the difference between the two yourself.
The US government has released the employment report today, albeit late, and said that 64,000 jobs increased in November, while 1.05 lakh jobs decreased in October. Jobs declined in October due to the reduction in the number of federal employees following the Trump administration’s cuts. At present, the unemployment rate in America has increased to 4.6 percent, which is the highest level since 2021. The Labor Department said that these figures came late due to the 43-day shutdown in America i.e. closure of government work. On the other hand, India’s unemployment figures came out which showed the biggest decline in 7 months.
What did the American government say?
Economists had estimated that the number of jobs would increase by 40,000 in November. In this way the actual figures were better than estimated. The main reason for the decline in October was a decrease of 1,62,000 in the number of federal employees. According to the revised estimates of the Labor Department, there was a cut of 33,000 jobs in the payroll data for August and September.
What do India’s statistics say?
According to India’s Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, the unemployment rate among persons aged 15 years and above declined to 4.7 percent in November 2025, the lowest level since April 2025. Earlier it was 5.2 percent in October 2025. The ministry said the rural unemployment rate fell to a new low of 3.9 percent in November 2025, while the urban unemployment rate declined to 6.5 percent, which is equal to its previous lowest level recorded in April 2025. The unemployment rate in April 2025 was 5.1 percent.
Why did unemployment decline?
This decline was due to the decline in female unemployment rate in both rural and urban areas. It decreased from 4.0 percent to 3.4 percent in rural areas and from 9.7 percent to 9.3 percent in urban areas. Apart from this, the total male unemployment rate decreased to 4.6 percent in November 2025, which was 5.1 percent in October 2025. The rural and urban male unemployment rates stood at 4.1 percent and 5.6 percent respectively in November 2025, whereas in the previous month it was 4.6 percent and 6.1 percent respectively.
