President Trump says that the new visa program will add billions of dollars to the American treasury. Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote, ‘US government’s Trump Gold Card starts today! Direct path to citizenship for qualified and vetted people. Very exciting! Our companies will now be able to retain their valuable talents. Live site opening in 30 minutes!’ Trump further said that it is a matter of great excitement for me and the country that we have launched the Trump Gold Card. All the money received from this will go to the American government… It is like a green card, but it will have more benefits. Companies will be able to go to any college, buy a card and keep that person in America… This will give an opportunity to bring great talented people to our country. Heavy fees will have to be paid for the Gold Card, which is sure to have an impact on Indians.
President Trump said that many talented students return to India, China or France after passing out from college. He said, ‘Companies will be very happy. What are the conditions of Trump Gold Card?

- The applicant sponsored by the company will have to pay 20 lakh dollars.
- There will also be a non-refundable processing fee of $15,000.

What is the Platinum Card Scheme?
A third option, the Platinum Card, was also proposed, in which a person could live in the US for 270 days a year for $5 million ($5 million) without paying US taxes on foreign income. It is not clear whether this scheme is still included or not. The website also states that having money alone is not a guarantee of entry into America. Applicants must be eligible for permanent residence, be eligible to enter legally and have a visa slot available. Under US immigration rules, Gold Card holders will fall into the EB-1 or EB-2 visa category. These visas are usually given to people with exceptional qualifications, such as top researchers, famous professors, major artists, or business leaders.
