Uttarakhand Weather update: The effect of cold wave has intensified from the mountains to the plains in Uttarakhand. The temperature is falling rapidly and severe cold is being felt in the morning and evening. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature will go down further in the coming days, due to which the chill is likely to increase further.
Dehradun: There is instability in the weather of Uttarakhand these days, where on one hand one is feeling hot due to strong sunlight in the afternoon, while on the other hand dense fog and cold winds in the morning and evening are increasing the cold. This fluctuation is being felt in both the plains and hilly areas of the state. Therefore, it can be said that there are fluctuations in the weather across the state. Due to fog, there is chill in the plains. At the same time, frost has increased in the mountainous areas and cold is being felt even during the day.
According to scientists of Dehradun-based Meteorological Centre, plain areas like Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar are experiencing mild winter despite strong sunshine. However, it has started getting very cold at night. Last Monday, the sky remained clear at most places including Dehradun and there was sunshine throughout the day. Despite this, an increase in the cold in the morning and evening was felt. The minimum temperature in Doon was two degrees below normal, while the maximum temperature was recorded 1 degree above normal. The Meteorological Center estimates that the weather will remain dry in most parts of the state and the temperature may remain below normal. At the same time, IMD has warned that the mercury may go down further in the next two to three days. Due to this, the effect of cold is likely to become more intense. Frost falling in hilly areas causes slippery roads. Some road accidents occurring in the mountains can also be the reason for this weather.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather across the state will be dry today. Talking about the weather of Dehradun, the sky will be mainly clear here. There will be fog in the morning. Today the maximum temperature of the capital is likely to be around 26 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 8 degrees Celsius.
Dehradun’s minimum temperature is 8.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of Dehradun yesterday was 25.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 8.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Pantnagar was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 6.8 degrees Celsius. Whereas the maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was recorded at 15.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 2.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of New Tehri was recorded at 16.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 3.7 degrees Celsius.
