Transport department officer’s ‘feat’ in Motihari, deposited money in his own account in the name of fine

Motihari: A new story of corruption has come to light in Motihari, Bihar. Generally it is seen that the transport department imposes fines after people break the rules on the roads. Many times people move ahead by bribing the traffic police. But, a different case has come to light in Motihari. According to the information received, Enforcement Sub-Inspector of Transport Department, Harishankar Yadav got the money deposited in his own account in the name of fine.

At the same time, Motihari Police has taken major action against Enforcement Sub-Inspector Harishankar Yadav regarding this matter. Motihari police has arrested Harishankar Yadav, enforcement sub-inspector of the transport department, on charges of taking money into his account in the name of fine. According to the news, Pipra Kothi police station of Motihari had received a complaint about this.

According to the complaint, the Sub Inspector of Transport Department, along with his associate, extorted money of Rs 10,000 from a Scorpio vehicle owner BR05PH0460. In which Rs 3000 was transferred in cash and Rs 7000 was transferred online to his pay phone account. When the Scorpio owner complained about this to the police, the police arrested Harishankar Kumar in this case.

Although, many agencies are continuously taking action against corruption in Bihar, but the arbitrariness of the officials is not showing any signs of stopping. However, the police is keeping an eye on such cases. In this series, a major action was taken against the Under Enforcement Inspector of the Transport Department in Motihari. The police have taken action against him regarding this corruption and he has been arrested and sent to jail. Now it remains to be seen what further action the police takes regarding this matter.
