Patna: Severe cold is being seen in Bihar these days. For the last several days, the minimum temperature in most of the districts has remained below 10 degrees Celsius, while for the last two days the night temperature is continuously being recorded around 5 degrees Celsius. Except some districts in the north-eastern part, the minimum temperature in almost all the districts of Bihar is below 10 degrees. At the same time, the day temperature has also reached near 25 degrees Celsius. In the last 2 to 3 days, the day temperature has also dropped by 3 to 4 degrees. Here, fog in the morning has also increased the problems of the people.
Meteorologists say that this weather pattern will continue for the next few days. The temperature is expected to drop once again from December 15. Till then minor fluctuations will continue.

According to the forecast issued by Bihar Meteorological Service Center, light to moderate fog is expected in the morning and night in some parts of West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Araria, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Banka, Patna, Gaya, Sasaram and Kaimur districts during the next 2 days. The lowest visibility of 450 meters was recorded in Purnia on Sunday morning. The situation is similar this morning also.
Most cold in these districts
The temperature of Bihar has remained at a low level for the last several days. The minimum temperature of most of the districts is below 10°C but many districts including the border districts of South Bihar like Kaimur, Rohtas, Nawada, Gaya are feeling the coldest. There is some relief in the districts of Seemanchal compared to the rest.
The lowest minimum temperature of 5.6°C in the last 24 hours was recorded in Adhaura block of Kaimur (Bhabhua) district. The minimum temperature of a total of 25 districts including East Champaran, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Kaimur, Rohtas was below 10°C while the minimum temperature of 13 districts including Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Saharsa, Sitamarhi was recorded between 10°C to 12°C.

A drop in day temperature was also seen on Sunday. The highest maximum temperature of 26.9°C was recorded in Kishanganj. The maximum temperature of most of the districts including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Buxar, Gaya remained below 25°C.

The weather pattern will remain like this for the coming few days. There is no possibility of any significant decline but there will be slight fluctuations in temperature. There will be fog and westerly wind flow in the morning. According to meteorologists, after December 15, the weather patterns will change again and there will be a huge increase in cold.
