Spring Roll is a popular Indo-Chinese snack, which is crispy and delicious. It is not difficult to make it at home, just the right ingredients and technique are needed. Let us know the easy way to make it.
Ingredients
For Spring Roll Sheet:
Flour – 1 cup
Cornflour – 2 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
Water – as per need
For filling:
Cabbage – 1 cup (finely chopped)
Carrot – ½ cup (grated)
Capsicum – ½ cup (finely chopped)
Spring onion – ¼ cup
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Chili sauce – 1 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
Oil – 2 tbsp
For frying:
Oil – as per requirement
1. Prepare the sheet
Make a thin batter by mixing flour, cornflour and salt. Prepare a thin sheet by pouring a little batter on a non-stick pan. Let them cool.
2. Prepare the filling
Heat oil in a pan. Add carrot, cabbage, capsicum and spring onion and fry on high flame for 2-3 minutes. Add soya sauce, chili sauce and salt and mix well. Turn off the gas and let the filling cool.
3. Make rolls
Place prepared filling on spring roll sheet. Apply light water on the edges, roll and seal well.
4. Fry
Fry the spring rolls in hot oil until they turn golden brown. Take them out on tissue paper.
How to serve?
Serve spring rolls with hot chili sauce or tomato sauce.
tips
Do not make the sheet too thick, otherwise the rolls will not be crunchy.
Do not keep the filling too wet, otherwise the rolls may break.
If you want, you can also add noodles in the filling.
