Patna. Patna, the capital of Bihar, is now going to achieve another big identity from religious and cultural point of view. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has been allotted land to build Sri Venkateswara Balaji Temple in Mokama Khas area of Patna. This decision has been formally implemented after the cabinet approval of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s government. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Chairman B.R. Naidu has shared this news through an X post. He told that Bihar government has allotted 10.11 acres of land for the construction of Shri Venkateswara Temple in Patna. In the eyes of experts, this decision of the state government is going to strengthen religious and cultural unity, which is a step towards spreading the spirit of devotion in different states of the country.

After this decision, TTD Chairman B. R. Expressing happiness on social media platform X, Naidu thanked the Bihar government. He said that this is not just approval for the construction of the temple but also a big step to add to the cultural heritage of the country. He met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Also thanked Chandrababu Naidu and State HRD Minister Nara Lokesh who supported this initiative.
Devotees of Eastern India will get big option
Project planning will start soon
A special team of TTD will soon hold a meeting with officials of Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation. The design, phased plan and time frame of temple construction will be discussed. TTD will bear the entire cost of this project. There is also a possibility of construction of facilities like Dharamshala, prayer pavilion, spiritual center and restaurant in the temple complex.

In March 2025, TTD had launched a plan to build Venkateswara temples in major cities across the country. Bihar has become the first state to give land in this initiative. This temple will be built in the traditional architectural style of South India and the aim is to include it among the major religious places of the country.
