How To Grow Mooli In Winter : Radish is eaten in almost every Indian household. They are rich in fiber, vitamin C, potassium and antioxidants, which help in improving digestion and increasing immunity. In such a situation, if you want to grow radish in winter, then you do not need a big field or garden for this. You can easily grow them in your balcony, terrace or courtyard. Let us know how to grow radish at home.
According to gardening experts, light and fertile soil is best for radish in winter. You can add some sand and cow dung or compost to the soil of pots or beds. This keeps the soil loose, water drains easily, and nutrients spread quickly.
Keep a distance of 5-7 cm between plants
Radish seeds grow best in fertile, well-drained soil. Sow the seeds directly into pots or garden beds, spacing them 5-7 cm apart. This provides plenty of space for the plants to grow and ensures their healthy growth.
Water the radish lightly every day.
Water radish plants thoroughly every day. In summer, make sure the soil remains constantly moist, but do not allow water to stagnate. If the soil is too dry, the roots may become tough. Proper watering ensures that radishes will grow quickly and taste good.
Add cow dung, compost or NPK fertilizer
Radish needs essential nutrients. Add cow dung, compost or NPK fertilizer in the pot or bed. Due to this, radish grows faster and its taste also improves. Water the radish leaves lightly from time to time. If insects appear, clean the leaves with mild soapy water. Pack soil around the plant’s roots and keep it moist. Thin the plants regularly to prevent them from becoming too dense.
When the radish is ready, break it gently.
Radish seeds are ready in 30-50 days. When the root becomes thick and is visible above the ground, pull it out gently with your fingers. This leads to new growth and continuous production.
