Gumla News: Jharkhand government has made a plan. Whose name is ‘Raahveer’ scheme. Under this scheme, if the life of a person injured in a road accident is saved by taking him to the hospital in time, the government will give him an incentive amount of Rs 25,000.
Road accidents are not stopping in Gumla district. To prevent road accidents in Gumla district, the District Transport Department is running vehicle checking campaign and awareness campaign. Till now, about 260 people have lost their lives due to road accidents in Gumla district. At the same time, many deaths can also be attributed to the injured in road accidents not reaching the hospital on time. In such a situation, the government has taken a revolutionary step to save the lives of people injured in road accidents. Its name is ‘Raahveer’ scheme. Under this scheme, the lives of the injured will be saved by taking them to the hospital in time. Those helpers will now be honored with an incentive amount of ₹ 25,000 and a citation.

In the case of road accidents, it is often seen that people shy away from helping the injured people suffering on the road due to fear of legal complications or police action. In this case, the aim of this Rahveer scheme is to eliminate this fear and encourage people to help the injured. According to medical experts, the first 60 minutes of the accident is the golden hour. If the injured is treated during this time, then the chances of the injured person dying are reduced. In such a situation, there is a possibility of saving more than 50% life.

Cash reward: ₹ 25,000 per case will be given as incentive to the person who immediately takes a seriously injured person to the hospital.
direct bank transfer: The prize amount will be sent directly to the bank account of the helper.
A letter of appreciation: Along with the cash amount, a ‘Good Samaritan’ certificate will also be given by the district administration.
no inquiry: As per the instructions of the Supreme Court, the person providing help will not be interrogated by the police or hospital administration nor will he be forced to stay or testify.
Who will get the benefit?
This reward will be given to those people who save someone’s life by risking their own lives or by showing quick thinking. A committee of hospital doctors and police officers will confirm the seriousness of the case, after which the process of award will start. Gumla Deputy Commissioner Prerna Dixit said, “Helping an injured person on the road is the greatest religion of humanity. Rahveer scheme will not only motivate people but will also prove to be a milestone in reducing the death rate in road accidents.
