Nitish Kumar Hijab Controversy: Hari Bhushan Thakur Bachaul has heated up the politics of Bihar by giving a statement on the Hijab controversy. Hari Bhushan Thakur Bachaul, while defending Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the hijab issue, said that the CM has not done anything wrong.
Patna. Amidst the ongoing controversy regarding Hijab in Bihar, a sharp and controversial statement of former BJP MLA Hari Bhushan Thakur Bachaul has come to light. Raising questions related to identity on government appointments and public posts, he said that if a woman is going to take appointment letter for a sensitive post like a government employee or a doctor, then her identity should be clear. Bachaul asked that if the appointment letter is being taken wearing a burqa, how will it be ensured whether the photograph in it is of the same person or someone else?
Hari Bhushan Thakur Bachaul defended Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on this issue and said that the CM has not done any wrong. He said that if someone is threatening the Chief Minister regarding this decision, then such threats are not going to work. The government will do its work according to law and order. The former MLA made more strict remarks in his statement and said that India is not an Islamic country. He said that those who have special attachment to burqa and consider it mandatory everywhere, they should go to Islamic countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh or Iraq. After this statement, the stir in political circles has intensified.
Regarding this matter, Minister Dilip Jaiswal said that the incident of removing the hijab is being blown out of proportion without any reason. He said that the Chief Minister is like a father to that female doctor. He simply suggested the female doctor. At present, the politics of Bihar has become more heated due to the Hijab controversy and such statements and the political rhetoric on this issue is likely to intensify in the coming days.
