In such a situation, continuous efforts are being made to provide quality education in the schools of Ambala Cantonment Board and children should get better education as well as better environment in the school. Efforts for this are being made by the board.
In fact, in this context, biometric attendance with face recognition cameras is being implemented in Cantonment Board schools and for this, machines have been installed outside the classrooms. Students are marking their attendance through this medium even before entering the class and with this, apart from saving the time of teachers, every student is also being monitored in a smart manner.
Giving more information to Local 18, Cantonment Board CEO Anand Sharma said that this facility has been started in the primary phase in the school of Topkhana Parade. Five machines have been installed here. He said that soon other five machines will also be installed outside the classrooms. He told that attendance will not be checked through the app if you are out of school, this will stop the frauds happening in schools, but with the increase in the attendance of students and teachers in the school, the educational environment will also improve. He said that some such complaints had also reached the board officials in the past that teachers mark their morning and evening attendance in the register a day in advance and this affects the level of education in the school. In such a situation, if any other teacher complained in this regard, discord was maintained with him.
2598 children are studying under Cantonment Board.
Ajay Baweja, nominated member of Ambala Cantonment Board, said that under the pilot project, the Cantonment Board has just started this facility in a school under its jurisdiction. After this, this facility will also be started in five schools under the board. He said that at present 2598 children are studying in six schools under the Cantonment Board. Of these, 1012 children are studying in the Senior Secondary School located in RHA Bazaar of Artillery Parade. Similarly, 267 children are studying in the primary school of RHA Bazar, 281 children in the middle school of BC Bazar, 396 children in the high school of BI Bazar, 514 children in Roots Public School and 128 children in Vatsalya School. He said that this is a good effort to improve the level of education in schools. This will reveal the real condition of the children and teachers will also be able to provide education to the children in a cordial environment.
