Cabbage Momo Wrap: You might have eaten many types of momos till date, but this winter try momos wrapped in cabbage. These are excellent in taste and light on the stomach. Due to the absence of flour, these are kept in the category of healthy snacks.
There is abundance of fresh cabbage in winter and healthy momos made from it are a great snack option in such a season. Wrap momos prepared from soft cabbage leaves are not only delicious, but are also considered special from health point of view because they are made without flour. These are easy to make and can be prepared in less time.
First of all the filling of momo has to be prepared. For this, heat some oil in a pan and add finely chopped onion, garlic, ginger and fry lightly. When the aroma starts coming, add finely chopped vegetables like carrots, capsicum, cabbage and a little cheese or tofu. Cook on high flame for two-three minutes so that the crunch of the vegetables remains. Now add salt, black pepper, soya sauce and a little vinegar and mix well. Let the prepared filling cool down.
Now comes the turn to prepare the cabbage leaves. Choose large and fresh leaves and thin out the thick part of the stalk so that the leaf can be folded easily. Boil water in a deep vessel and blanch the leaves for 20–30 seconds. This makes the leaves soft and easy to wrap like momo wrap. After blanching, immediately put the leaves in cold water so that their green color remains.

Now place a little prepared filling in the middle of each leaf and close it by folding the edges like a momo. Cabbage is naturally flexible, so it easily takes shape when kept in a folded position. Prepare as many momos as you want using this method.
Finally, prepare a steamer and steam all the momos in it for 8-10 minutes. Since they are wrapped in cabbage, they do not need to be steamed for a long time. As soon as the momo is cooked, the shine of the leaves increases and the aroma of the filling starts coming out. Serve them with hot chili sauce, tomato dip or peanut dip.
These wrap momos made from cabbage leaves are completely healthy, low-calorie and rich in fiber. Children will also like these easy-to-make momos at home and they are the best option for evening snack or light meal.
