It is useful in ear pain and ear discharge. Putting the juice of the fruit or the oil extracted from the fruit in the ear provides relief from ear pain and discharge of water/pus from the ear. It works as a natural anti-inflammatory and anti-infection agent. Avartani is also used to purify blood and stop bleeding. Its properties flush out the toxins accumulated in the body and help in keeping the skin healthy. Villager Seema Devi told that Aavartani can be used in the form of powder. In case of stomach ache, take half a spoon of Avartani powder with lukewarm water 1-2 times a day.
In case of diarrhea/dysentery, consuming the powder mixed with buttermilk or lukewarm water is beneficial. Apart from this, decoction can also be prepared and drunk. Boil 2-3 dry kidney beans in water and cook on low flame till it reduces to half. This decoction is very effective in stomach ache, gas, and infection. It can be drunk once a day. For use in ear pain, heat the fruit lightly and extract its juice or use essential oil available in the market. Putting 1–2 drops in the ear provides relief from pain and discharge.
