Katarni rice of Bhagalpur is a famous and aromatic rice, which is mainly sown in June-July and harvested from late November to December. Katarni rice has also got the GI tag. This taste is amazing.
It is a Kharif crop and to grow it, special soil of Bhagalpur, balanced water and more hard work is required, because it does not do well in excessive chemical fertilizers.
