The priest of the temple says that when the water in the Triveni river in front of the temple decreases, the wings of Lord Narayana are also visible. This belief of Ram Janaki temple is very popular among the people.
Ramjanaki temple built in Vikram Samvat 2024
While talking to Local 18, the priest of Ram Janaki temple located in Nepal told that this temple exists since Treta and Dwapar era and its time is not certain as to how old it is. He told that this temple was built in Vikram Samvat 2024 but its history is very old. He also emphasized that the priests of this temple were originally from India. He says that the structure of the temple here is only artificial and everything else is natural. Situated on the banks of river Triveni and in front of the mountains, this temple is known for its natural beauty and tranquil environment. Ram Janaki Temple is a major center of faith for both India and Nepal.
Fierce fight between Gaj and Goh
The priest of Ram Janaki temple told Local 18 that in ancient times there was a fierce conflict between Gaj and Goh here. This conflict was so big that it lasted for about six months. During this conflict, the water of the river had become so dangerous that everyone was affected by it. Ram Janaki Temple encompasses within itself the natural beauty of Nepal along with its religious and historical beliefs, whose beauty is worth seeing.
