What is constipation? (What is constipation)
In Ayurveda, constipation is called ‘malavarodha’. According to Ayurveda, the main causes of constipation are aggravation of Vata dosha, dimming of digestive fire and accumulation of toxic elements (Aam) in the body. The main reasons can be excess oil and spices in the diet, things made from flour, junk and fast food, not drinking water, eating late at night, not exercising, not including fiber-rich food in the diet, etc. This increases air in the intestines, due to which the stool becomes hard and dry. Then because of this the stomach is not cleaned properly. When this happens continuously, the toxic substances spread throughout the body and can give rise to new diseases.
