Sarhasa: A painful incident has come to light from the district, which has plunged the entire area into mourning. A 22-year-old youth died in a bike accident amid dense fog in the early hours of Monday. While the 70 year old man sitting with him miraculously survived. The accident happened near the gas agency of Banma Ithari police station area. At around four in the morning the fog was so dense that nothing could be seen on the road. Meanwhile, a bike went out of control and fell into a 20 feet deep pit on the roadside. In this pit, water hyacinth was frozen on top and the bottom was filled with water, due to which the bike directly drowned.

There were two people riding on the bike. The bike driver sitting in front, Gaurav Kumar (22), got stuck in deep water and hyacinth and could not get out. But 70 year old Inspector Prasad Yadav, sitting behind, somehow showed courage and saved his life by swimming. Even at this stage of his age, he mustered the strength to come out of the water and came out safely.
Body found after two hours
As soon as the local people got the news, they rushed to the spot. The administration team and swimmers also reached there immediately. After continuous struggle for about two hours, the young man was taken out, but by then it was too late.

The deceased Gaurav Kumar was a resident of ward number 3 of Salkhua police station area. He was the only son of late Ram Kumar. His sudden death has brought great sorrow to the family. There is mourning in the house and there is a wave of mourning in the entire village.
This is how the accident happened
Gaurav’s uncle Jairam Yadav cryingly told that Gaurav had gone to the banquet at night and had stayed there. He was returning home at four in the morning. The fog was so dense that he could not see the turn of the road. Where there was a turn to be taken, I went straight there and the bike fell straight into a deep pit. The old man sitting behind knew how to swim, so he escaped, but Gaurav drowned in the water along with the car.
Police are investigating
Jairam Yadav told that he received this information on phone in the morning and he immediately reached the postmortem house. At present the police is investigating the matter, but the accident has once again exposed the negligence of dangerous potholes on the roadside.
