In fact, a video of this senior IAS officer of the year 2008 batch is going viral on social media, in which he is seen giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation ie CPR to a person.
According to the information received, Janak Lal, a resident of Sector-41 of Chandigarh, had reached the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) office on Tuesday morning, where he suffered a heart attack and fell there. Meanwhile, when Health Secretary Yashpal Garg came to know about this, he immediately reached there and gave CPR to Janak Lal and saved his life. Now he has been kept under observation at the Government Multi Specialty Hospital in Sector-16.
While sharing the video of this incident on Twitter, Swati Maliwal, Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women, while praising Chandigarh Health Secretary Yashpal Garg, said that every human being should learn CPR.
