According to wildlife expert and researcher Pranjali Bhujbal, this wildlife is very shy and rare, but it is often seen in the dense forests of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve.

Generally the weight of Indian Pangolin is between 10 to 16 kg. Its length ranges from 20 to 30 inches. It is a nocturnal creature and its food is ants and termites. What makes it different and unique from other wildlife are the strong scales present on its body. These scales act as their armor. However, it is for these scales that they are smuggled.

If we talk about its behaviour, it is very shy. This is the reason why it is very difficult to see, but despite being the most shy, they become the victims of most cruelty. According to reports, this beautiful wildlife is hunted every 3 minutes. It is noteworthy that China is the biggest center of wildlife trafficking, where they are used for food and so-called potent medicines.

Pranjali Bhujbal says that the responsibility of protection and conservation of wildlife is not only of the government and the forest department, it is also ours. We can also indirectly stop the hunting of wildlife. We should avoid consuming any such item in our daily life for which wildlife is harmed. Nature will remain safe only if wildlife is safe.

Giving more information, Deputy Director of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, Manish Singh said that all necessary steps are taken by the Tiger Reserve administration for the protection of forests and wildlife. Along with foot patrolling, high definition 360 degree cameras have been installed at various places in the forest, with the help of which 24/7 monitoring is done.
