Complete Blood Count (CBC) gives information about the overall health of the body. This reveals anemia (blood deficiency), infection and immune system problems. Along with this, blood sugar, liver, kidney and cholesterol should also be tested once a year. These tests help in identifying diabetes, high cholesterol and early problems related to organs.

Thyroid problems are more common in women than men. In such a situation, thyroid problem can be detected quickly by blood test of TSH and sometimes T3 and T4. With timely detection, infertility, irregularity of periods and heart problems can be avoided.
