Massage Oil For Newborns: Which oil is best for massaging newborn babies, how many times a day massage should be done, what things should be kept in mind. Let us know from Ranchi’s expert Dr. VK Pandey.
Ranchi. If a newborn baby has been born in your home during this winter or if you yourself have become a mother, then you must know this. In fact, small children, especially newborn babies, need a lot of protection in cold weather. In such a situation, these are five such oils which along with warmth will make your child’s bones strong.
Ranchi’s well-known Ayurvedic doctor V.K. Pandey says that if the bones of children are to be strengthened and they are to be given proper nutrients, then massage is very important. You will have to massage the newborn baby at least 3 times a day. The right time to massage with light hands is every 4 hours. If this is not possible then do massage twice a day.
Massage with these oils
Dr. V.K. Pandey says, especially you can use coconut oil. It contains many nutrients. Magnesium and zinc which make bones very strong. Apart from this, if you massage with olive oil also, it gives very good effect. Due to this, the irritation caused to the child’s skin is significantly reduced.
Apart from this, almond oil is very beneficial. Because Vitamin B, C and Zinc are found in large quantities in it. It is very beneficial in improving the condition of the child’s hair, nails and skin. Apart from this, there is jojoba oil which contains calcium, magnesium and all the essential nutrients along with vitamin C in large quantities.
Massage is more important than milk
He said, newborn babies get more nutrients from massage than from food. Therefore, do not take massage lightly at all. Whatever oil you have, heat it lightly. Meaning, it is as hot as the child’s skin can tolerate. Try if you can make the child lie down in the sun after massaging. This helps a lot in taking Vitamin D directly to the body and makes the bones much stronger.
Do massage protected from cold air
If you massage a newborn baby in mild sunlight then believe me, such babies do not suffer from early bone problems. Keep in mind, to avoid direct sunlight because the skin is thin and can get burnt. While massaging in the sun, one should also protect from cold wind. If there is wind then do not massage in the open. Children may fall ill due to this. Do not massage too early in the morning or too late in the evening. In case of newborn babies, definitely take the advice of your doctor and proceed accordingly.
