In such a situation, the natural remedies present in Ayurveda are coming as a big relief. According to Dr. Saurabh Parouha, the bark of Arjun tree is considered very beneficial for heart health and the risk of heart attack can be prevented to a great extent.
While giving information to Local 18, Ayush medical expert Dr. Saurabh Parouha said that the bark of Arjuna tree is very useful for heart patients. By making a decoction of Arjuna bark and using it regularly, the heart can be kept healthy. It helps in reducing bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol in the body. Generally, problem of blockage in veins is seen in heart patients, due to which the chances of heart attack increases. But if Arjuna bark is used properly, the chances of blockage are reduced.
However, caution is also necessary in its consumption. Dr. Saurabh tells that he himself uses the decoction of Arjuna bark, but it does not suit him completely, so he keeps taking gaps in between. If someone is allergic to Arjuna, he should not use it daily. Those who cannot drink the decoction, they can also boil it and drink it like tea.
Arjuna bark is beneficial not only for heart but also for many other diseases. After change in weather, its decoction or tea is considered very beneficial in problems like cold, flu, viral and sore throat. The natural properties present in it help in increasing the immunity of the body.
The method of its use is also easy. Soak Arjuna bark overnight. In the morning, mix a little cinnamon with a one and a half inch piece of bark, boil it and consume it. By using it in November, December and January, its positive effect remains on the body throughout the year. Its quantity is decided according to age. People of 20 to 30 years are advised to take 5 to 7 grams and people of 40 to 50 years are advised to take 10 grams. Arjuna bark is a natural heart tonic, but it should be consumed only on the advice of an Ayurvedic doctor.
