Police investigation has revealed that the main accused Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra had booked tickets to Thailand within just an hour of receiving the news of the fire. This insensitivity has surprised even the police and administration. Where they should have been helping their staff and guests, they were trying to run for their lives.

According to the investigation of Goa Police, this incident took place on the intervening night of 6th and 7th December. As soon as the fire broke out in the club, the Luthra brothers wasted no time. He booked tickets for Phuket, Thailand through an online travel portal at 1:17 am on December 7. This was the time when the fire department, police and local administration were struggling to control the fire and rescue the trapped people.
Absconded from Indigo flight
Police officials said that both the brothers left for Phuket in the early hours of Sunday by Indigo flight. They planned very cleverly so that they could get out of the country before the police could catch them. By the time the police understood the seriousness of the matter and issued a lookout notice against them, they had absconded. Now Interpol’s Blue Corner Notice has been issued against him and the process of canceling his passport is underway.
No relief received from Delhi Court
Here, on Wednesday, Luthra brothers did not get any relief even from the court. To avoid his arrest, he had filed an anticipatory bail petition in a Delhi court. But the court refused to give him any interim relief. The court has adjourned the hearing on his petition till Thursday. This means that the sword of arrest is hanging over them.
