Madhepura News: There was an uproar over the death of a youth in Madhepura, Bihar. Family members and villagers demonstrated strongly by placing the dead body on the road. Action was demanded against the accused.

Madhepura There was a huge uproar over the death of a youth in Madhepura, Bihar on Tuesday morning. He was brutally beaten on Sunday, after which he died during treatment. The family members demonstrated strongly by keeping the dead body on the road for 6 hours. Also, questions were raised on the working style of the police and strict action was demanded against the accused.
The matter is of Devail Ward-8 of Bihariganj police station area of Madhepura. Where the villagers became furious on Tuesday morning over the death of Bechan Mukhiya. He died on Sunday during treatment in Patna. When his body reached the village two days later on Tuesday morning, people erupted in anger. The villagers kept blocking Devail Chowk since 6:30 in the morning by placing the dead body on the road and raised loud slogans against the police administration. People alleged that more than 10 days have passed since the incident, but the police have not been able to arrest any accused yet.
The young man was found injured
The atmosphere became so tense during the protest that some youths tried to break the police vehicle present at the spot. However, the people of the village immediately intervened and kept the situation from worsening. The incident took place on the night of 23 November. Bechan Mukhiya was found seriously injured about 300 meters away from his house. He was stabbed several times with a sharp weapon on his legs, chest, neck and face. After first aid, he was referred to Patna, where he died at 2 pm on Sunday afternoon.
Police gave assurance
After the incident, the deceased’s daughter Ranjan Devi had filed a named FIR against Mohammad Mujahid, Mohammad Noor Alam and Mohammad Irfan. He alleges that about 10 days ago there was a minor altercation at the door of the house. Due to the same rivalry, the accused called his father out of the house on the night of 23 November on some pretext, beat him mercilessly and threw him in the bushes, assuming he was dead. On receiving information about villagers blocking the road with the dead body, Udakishunganj SDPO Avinash Kumar reached the spot with the police force. He talked to the people and assured of early arrest and concrete action. After the protest continued for about 6 hours, people removed the jam.
