Terrorists Mohammad Mustaqeem and Shakeel associated with Ansar Ghazwa Tul Hind have been sentenced by the NIA Special Court on Friday. Both the culprits have been sentenced in the Arms Act case. The court sentenced both the culprits to 20 months and 29 days.
Lucknow: Terrorists Mohammad Mustaqeem and Shakeel associated with Ansar Ghazwa Tul Hind have been sentenced by the NIA Special Court on Friday. Both the culprits have been sentenced in the Arms Act case. The court sentenced both the culprits to 20 months and 29 days. Besides, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each on both the culprits. Mohammad Mustaqeem and Shakeel had confessed to their crime by filing an application in the court on 3 November. Mohammad Mustaqeem filed an application in the court and confessed that he had given an illegal pistol and cartridges to Mustaqeem.
Case going on since 2021
Mustaqeem had given the same pistol to Minhaj. This pistol was also with Shakeel. This pistol was recovered by ATS from the accused on 11 July 2021. After hearing the plea of acceptance of crime, the court sentenced him to spend in jail. The case was again registered on July 11 by ATS Inspector Sushil Singh at Gomti Nagar police station. On July 29, 2021, NIA filed the second report and started the investigation. Terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir had contacted Minhaj of Lucknow online. Minhaj had received orders to recruit terrorists for Ansar Ghazwa tul Hind. Minhaj was preparing a module for terrorist incidents in UP.
What is Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind?
Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind is a terrorist organization working in Kashmir. It was started in the year 2017 by former Hizbul Mujahideen commander Zakir Rashid alias Zakir Musa. After this many people were recruited in this organization. However, two years later in 2019, the Indian Army killed Zakir Musa. Apart from this, some other terrorists associated with it were also killed. After the killing of the commanders, this organization became weak and the people associated with it were not seen active.
