Bahraich: In Bahraich, the gang of thugs who intimidated even the officers of the Chief Minister’s Office has been exposed. This gang, which was running orders by being close to the camp office of Gorakhnath temple, had woven such a web with the help of fake identities, fake IDs and mobile numbers that even many officials got confused. But as the police investigation progressed, the layers of their claims kept getting peeled off and then the entire fake power brigade was caught.
In fact, in Bahraich district, the police arrested three thugs who threatened the officials by posing as representatives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Gorakhpur office. Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Ashok Singh said that a case was registered at Risia police station in the district last Sunday. It was alleged that a person named Rahul Maharaj alias Rahul Yadav alias Nanhe Yadav, posing as a co-representative of an alleged officer of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s camp office located at Gorakhnath temple, threatens people and extorts money from them.
He told that it was also alleged in the case that Rahul Maharaj used to intimidate the officials by being close to the Chief Minister and asked them to do wrong things and threatened them with dire consequences if they refused.
Singh told that when a case was registered against this fake representative under relevant sections in Risia police station and investigation was done, it was found that three people were trying to cheat officials and other people by talking to them on phone from different numbers. He had got fake identity cards printed with the address of Gorakhnath temple written on them.
Additional Superintendent of Police said that on Tuesday, Rahul Yadav, resident of Dihwa village of Risia police station area of Bahraich, and his two associates Nafees Khan and Mukhtar Ahmed were arrested. The police is investigating the matter.
