Varanasi: The game of ups and downs continues in the weather of UP. In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature in many cities of the state has increased by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius. A drop in maximum temperature has been observed. However, in the next 48 hours, strong westerly winds will blow again in the state, due to which the chill will increase during day and night. Along with this, a blanket of dense fog will also be visible in the state.
According to the information received from the Zonal Meteorological Center located in Amausi, Lucknow, the weather will be dry in both the eastern and western divisions of UP on December 9. In such a situation, light to moderate fog can be seen in different districts of the state during morning and late night. Apart from this, dense fog with visibility of 200 to 500 meters is also expected in the Terai areas of UP. Let us tell you that in the last 24 hours there was fog with visibility of 50 meters in Bahraich and Kushinagar.
BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that the western disturbance has currently weakened after reaching Maharashtra and Rajasthan. In the next 38 hours, this western disturbance will pass through the Ganga plains. After this there will be strong westerly winds. Due to which the minimum temperature will drop rapidly. Due to which there will be a feeling of bone-chilling cold.
Melting will increase as evening approaches
The Meteorological Department i.e. IMD has predicted that on Tuesday, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Kanpur, Etawah, Kannauj, Bahraich, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Ayodhya, Amethi, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Kansagaj, Azamgarh, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Rampur, Bareilly, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Firozabad, Unnao, Sultanpur, Moradabad and Sonbhadra will see light and moderate fog at some places in the morning. In this way, there will be sunshine during the day, but in the evening the winds will make you feel cold.
Minimum temperature will drop by 2 degrees in Lucknow
There will be a drop in the minimum temperature in the state capital Lucknow on Tuesday. It is estimated that today the minimum temperature will fall by 2 degrees Celsius to around 9 degrees Celsius. The morning will also start with shallow fog. Whereas in Noida adjacent to Delhi, moderate fog can be seen this morning. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be 25 and the minimum will be 9 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has expressed the expectation.
