New Delhi. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles launched Sierra SUV in the Indian market in November 2025. At the time of launch, the starting price of the SUV was announced at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the prices of the remaining variants have been released recently. Tata Sierra: Design
The design of Tata Sierra is boxy in shape, which is inspired by its old model and many modern features have been added to it. The SUV sports a straightforward and powerful look, with gloss-black accents that connect the LED headlights and daytime running lights to the brand logo and “Sierra” label. Apart from this, skid plate and dual fog lights are also provided in the front bumper, which further improves its looks.
Tata Sierra: Interior and features
The interior of the Tata Sierra is premium, with three dashboard displays—one for the driver and two for infotainment, which makes content sharing easy. It has a 4-spoke steering wheel as seen in Tata Curve, which has illuminated Tata logo and touch-sensitive controls. Apart from this, it gets many features like a 12-speaker JBL audio system, the segment’s first SonicShaft soundbar, dual-zone climate control, the largest panoramic sunroof in India, wireless charging dock, rear sunshades and ventilated, powered front seats. For comfort, it is also provided with soft-touch materials and floating armrest, which gives it a modern and luxurious feel.
Tata Sierra: Safety Features
In terms of safety, Tata Sierra has been provided with Level 2 ADAS suite, which includes features like electronic parking brake, 360-degree camera, dual blind spot monitoring and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with 21 functions. Apart from this, it is also provided with essential safety features like 6 airbags, seatbelt anchor pretensioners, ISOFIX child safety tethers and 3-point ELR seat belts for all passengers.
Tata Sierra: Powertrain
The petrol variant of Sierra comes with Tata’s new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged engine, which produces 160 hp power and 255 Nm torque. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission (taken from AISIN). Apart from this, there is also a naturally aspirated option, which produces 106 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque (Atkinson cycle has been used for better efficiency), which can be purchased with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel variant has a 1.5-litre engine, which produces 118 hp power and has 6-speed manual (260 Nm) and 6-speed automatic (280 Nm) transmission options.
