FCDOThe UK will appoint Christian Turner as its new ambassador to the United States, Downing Street has confirmed.
Turner has spent a career spanning almost 30 years working in Whitehall and the Foreign Office.
He will now become the man tasked by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to establish links with the Trump administration.
Starmer fired former ambassador Peter Mandelson after evidence emerged, including emails and photographs, showing his continued association with pedophile Jeffery Epstein.
