The cases of fraud in the name of marriage have now increased in Himachal Pradesh. Such cases are increasing in Una district. In Kangra also, the police had caught a gang. Now the second case has come to light in Una in 15 days. The groom has reached the police and lodged a complaint.
Una. In Himachal Pradesh, cases of fraud in the name of marriage are continuously increasing. Within a few days of marriage, brides run away with money and jewellery. The latest case is from Una district. At present, a complaint has been given to the police.
According to the information, a marriage had recently taken place in the village near Daulatpur Chowk in Una district. However, the very next day of the marriage, the bride disappeared from her parents’ home under mysterious circumstances along with cash and jewellery. At present, the entire matter remains a matter of discussion.
According to sources, a family of the village got influenced by a middleman and got their son married in the neighboring state of Punjab. After the marriage rituals, the groom took the bride to her maternal home as per tradition. The groom and his family were waiting to be welcomed at the in-laws house when suddenly they got information that the bride was missing from home. It is being told that the bride also took with her the jewelery worn at the time of marriage and some cash. The groom was stunned when he did not get a satisfactory answer from the in-laws and there was an uproar in the groom’s family. Despite searching at many places, no trace of the bride could be found.
The victim’s family has lodged a complaint in the local police post. Outpost in-charge Ravipal said that the complaint has been received and preliminary investigation has been started and every aspect of the case is being investigated thoroughly.

When a girl from Bareilly, UP was married to a young man from Bangana here and the bride ran away from home on 22 November. Similarly, in Kangra also such a gang was arrested by the police. The gang from Ludhiana, Punjab used to commit fraud in the name of marriage and the bride used to run away after the marriage.
