This is the story of applying tilak
While talking to Local 18, Kunwar Masood Ali, a descendant of the Hasanpur princely state, tells that between 1540 and 1545 AD, when Sher Shah Suri ascended the throne after defeating Humayun, while inspecting the Grand Tank Road, he moved towards Awadh with Lav Lashkar. During this, he entered Narwalgarh which is currently called Hasanpur. Here he received a grand welcome from the local king. When Sher Shah expressed his desire to give a tip, the king of Narwalgarh refused to accept the tip. Since then this tradition has been going on in this state.
