Dholpur: Brijwasi stall of Dholpur is famous for its spicy asafoetida kachori. The taste of kachori which is ground into small pieces and mashed and the potato curry made with homemade spices attracts people from far and wide. This stall is open from 6 am to 12 noon and two kachoris are available for only ₹ 20.
Dholpur Brijwasi Heeng Kachori: Whenever there is mention of Kachori, people’s mouth often starts watering. Even if the mouth is watering, why not, the taste of Kachori itself attracts people towards itself. One such stall is Brijwasi stall in Dholpur which is situated in front of RAC battalion. The taste of Brijwasi’s Kachori is so good that everyone is crazy about Brijwasi’s mashed Kachori and people from far and wide come here to taste the Kachori.
Brijwasi Kachori stall is available only from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon. Sandeep, who runs a Brijwasi Kachori stall, said that he has been selling Kachoris for 3 years. People come from Dholpur city to eat his asafoetida kachoris, and people from nearby cities Agra and Morena also come to taste his kachoris and get them packed and take them to their homes.
Unique preparation of Kachori
Sandeep told that at his place the Kachori is crushed after cutting it into small pieces and this Kachori is crispy. It is fried in pure desi ghee and placed in a dona and served with potato curry along with kachori. Homemade ground spices are used in potato curry, in which asafoetida water is also added, due to which the taste of kachori and potato curry becomes more wonderful.

Sandeep says that asafoetida kachori is not harmful for the body and this asafoetida kachori is easily digested because asafoetida helps in digestion. At Brijwasi Kachori stall, two kachoris are given for only ₹ 20, which makes it accessible to the common people. Sandeep says that he sells at least 700 to 800 kachoris in a day, from which his popularity can be estimated. But remember, this taste is available only from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon.
