Kunal Raj says that November to January is the best time to plant roses. During this period, both moisture and coolness remain in the environment, due to which the plants take root faster and give excellent flowers throughout the season. He told that it is very easy to grow roses in pots, only some important things have to be followed.
They say that this season is the right time to plant hybrid roses, button roses and Kashmiri roses. For hybrid and Kashmiri varieties, a 10-inch pot is sufficient, whereas for desi roses, a larger pot of 12 to 14 inches is required so that the roots get enough space to spread.
Gardening expert Kunal says that proper amount of water is very important for roses. The plant should be lightly watered in the morning and evening, so that the soil remains moist and the plant can grow healthy. To increase the growth and number of flowers of roses, they recommend adding DAP and vermicompost every 15 days. Apart from this, to prevent weeds from growing in the pot, it is also necessary to clean it from time to time.
The most interesting thing Kunal Raj said was that plants should be taken care of just like children. One should not expect flowers to grow just by planting a plant in a pot and leaving it there.
