A British artist has broken his own world record by making the world’s smallest statue. 56 year old David A. Linden has created this small artwork named ‘The Yellow Smiley Face’, whose length is only 11.037 microns and width is 12.330 microns.
It is easy to create large paintings or artworks, but when their size is small then it becomes difficult to create because the space for designing becomes very less. But one person did something amazing. He created an artefact which is so small that it cannot be seen with the human eye. He has achieved success with 6 weeks of hard work.

A British artist has broken his own world record by making the world’s smallest statue. 56 year old David A. Linden has created this small artwork named ‘The Yellow Smiley Face’, whose length is only 11.037 microns and width is 12.330 microns. This size is so minute that it is impossible to see it directly with the eyes. Even before this, David has already held the record of making the smallest handmade statue. His previous creation ‘The Lego Brick’ had a size of 0.02517 mm × 0.02184 mm. This time he set a new record by making it half the size.

Success achieved after 34 attempts
Linden told that it took him six weeks to make this small smiley face and he was successful after 34 attempts. He said, “What I do may seem a little crazy, but it is completely fine art. I want to leave something behind that can become a legacy of my art.” He told that this statue is almost the size of a bacteria, which made it very challenging to make. David tells that he started this art after watching a TV programme. That night he suddenly felt that he too could do this, he would just need a microscope.
