Srinagar. National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials on Tuesday conducted a search operation in the forests of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the Delhi car blast case. Official sources said that the NIA team, with the help of Jammu and Kashmir Police, has started a search in the forest area of the district in connection with the terrorist blast that took place near the Red Fort on November 10.
Sources said that the NIA team has also brought along two accused, Dr. Adil Rather and Jasir Bilal Wani, to find the right place for the search. Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana Police busted a white collar terrorist module run by local doctors in Faridabad area of Haryana. Subsequently, two conspirators, Dr. Adil Rather and Dr. Muzammil Ganai, were arrested, while the third conspirator, Dr. Omar Nabi, escaped arrest.
Later, Dr. Umar Nabi detonated his explosive-laden car near the Red Fort. He was also killed in this blast. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had recently said that the root of the terrorist conspiracy was a love affair. He said that one of the perpetrators of the terrorist conspiracy, Dr. Muzammil Ganai, had an affair with a local girl. When Muzammil started ignoring his girlfriend, distance came between the two.
After this, the angry girlfriend went to the police and told that the posters of Jaish-e-Mohammed organization were pasted by Dr. Muzammil. The arrest of Muzammil led to the arrest of a Maulvi and then the police exposed the entire conspiracy. The police also arrested Dr. Umar Farooq and his wife Shahzada in connection with the white collar terror module. This couple is accused of using their social status to lure youth towards terrorism.
At the same time, Prince Akhtar is accused of trying to restart the women’s terrorist group ‘Dukhtaran-e-Millat’, which was closed after the arrest of its leader Asiya Andrabi in 2018.
