Haridwar Chamatkari Shivling Video: Haridwar is witness to many spiritual mysteries related to Lord Shiva. Haridwar is also called Bholenath’s in-laws house and it is believed that his marriage procession stayed here and had refreshments. There is extensive mention of the holy places here in the mythological texts Shiva Mahapuran and Skanda Puran. Among these, the Tilbhandeshwar Mahadev temple located in Kankhal is prominent, where the self-proclaimed Shivalinga is situated on the western bank of the Ganga. It is believed that after the self-immolation of Goddess Sati, Shiva sacrificed his Mahakal form at this place. The Shivalinga here miraculously decreases in Krishna Paksha and increases in Shukla Paksha. Here devotees perform Abhishekam with milk, Ganga water and sesame seeds. It is believed that this gradually reduces the sorrows of life and one receives Shiva’s blessings immediately.
